Flutin is a newly discovered adipocytokines, with insulin-like, involved in inflammatory response, immune regulation and other biological activity. Highly sensitive C-reactive protein (hsCRP) is an in vivo inflammatory response marker, or a strong proinflammatory factor, involved in the occurrence of atherosclerosis. A variety of factors have been shown to be involved in the development and progression of type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) and its complications, of which inflammatory response is a factor of widespread concern. Studying the relationship between these two factors and T2DM and their complications, and exploring the potential relationship between visfatin and hsCRP will provide the basis for the early diagnosis and prevention of complications of diabetes.
