作家简介肯尼斯·格雷厄姆(Kenneth Grahame,1859~1932),英国作家,出生于苏格兰首府爱丁堡。格雷厄姆童年不幸,5岁时母亲去世,酗酒成性的父亲又把他们兄妹四人交给外祖母照看。外祖母家依山傍水的旧居激发了他的想象力和灵感,成了他许多童话故事中的背景。后来,格莱厄姆进入圣爱德华学校读书,毕业后因经济问题未能进入心仪的牛津大学深造。
Writer profile Kenneth Grahame (1859~1932), a British writer, was born in Edinburgh, the capital of Scotland. Graham’s childhood was unfortunate. At the age of 5, her mother died. The father of alcoholism turned over their brothers and sisters to the grandmother for care. The old residence of his grandmother’s family was inspired by his imagination and inspiration and became the background of many of his fairy tales. Later, Graeme went to school at St. Edward’s, and after graduation failed to enter Oxford University for study because of economic problems.
