今天,不仅欧美,而且日本都在大力开展发展经济学研究。亚洲各国的社会科学家对此抱什么态度呢?我是专门研究亚洲各国经济发展的,对我来说这是一个非常值得注意的问题。年轻经济学家的反感在欧美通过研究而积累起来的各种社会科学概念和方法,也适用于亚洲研究吗?如果不适用,有什么可以代替它的?为了讨论这个问题,东京大学的中根千枝教授组织了“关于社会科学概念和方法的亚洲讨论会”。参加这个讨论会的人几乎都是亚洲各国的著名人类学家、政治学家和经济学家。
Today, not only Europe and the United States, but also Japan are vigorously carrying out studies on development economics. What is the attitude of social scientists in various Asian countries? I was a special researcher on the economic development in various Asian countries. To me, this is a problem that deserves much attention. What are the repercussions of the young economists on the various social science concepts and methods that have been accumulated through research in Europe and the United States and also on Asian studies? If not, what can be substituted for it? To discuss this issue, The professor organized the “Asian Symposium on Concepts and Methods of Social Science.” Almost all the participants in this seminar are well-known anthropologists, political scientists and economists in various Asian countries.
