In the 1960s, I planted vegetables on a farm in the suburbs of Chongqing. Farming requires fertilizers, but very few chemical fertilizers at the time. Farms rely mainly on two fifty-sixty-ton fertilizer vessels to transport human waste in the city. There was a fertilizer company in Chongqing at that time, with hundreds of workers and dozens of manure trucks. Every morning and evening are their working hours. They pick up the excrement of each public toilet in the street and pick them up in a manure tank. They then pull the manure truck to the septic tank in the river and pick them up one by one with rectangular wooden troughs Fertilizer boat to the river. Need a lot of fertilizer, in addition to state-owned farms, there are vegetable bases along both sides of the river.
