This article describes the furnace and operation of the new Outokumpu flash furnace at Magmar Copper. This flash furnace uses Outokumpu’s latest technology and has a design capacity of 907,000 t / a copper concentrate. The flash furnace and its ancillary equipment began construction in October 1986.
