With the reform and opening up, a large number of works by foreign contemporary and contemporary writers were translated and introduced to mainland China. Especially those of classic modernist writers, such as James Joyce of the United Kingdom, Virginia Woolf; Proust of France, Claude Simon, Rob Gilliger, Marg Lite Dura; the United States Saul Bellow, Salinger, William Faulkner, and South America’s Marquez, Borges, Llosa and so on.
