“There are big difficulties.” The words in “Dream of Red Mansions” are often used to describe the situation of state-owned large and medium-sized enterprises. In Wenzhou, where the individual economy is more developed, there is actually a manager of a large state-owned enterprise, patting his chest and turning this sentence into a single word: “big benefits.” This person is one of the country’s outstanding entrepreneurs, Teng Zengshou, general manager and party secretary of Wenzhou Dongfang Industrial Enterprise Group Corporation. In 1984, Teng Zengshou was appointed as the director of the Wenzhou FRP building plant on the verge of collapse. After 4 years, the output value of this plant increased by 30 times, labor productivity increased by 23 times, and profits and taxes increased by 74 times.
