李占先是一名有40年军龄的解放军大校军官,曾五次荣立三等功,多次受到嘉奖。他在任北京军区招待处长时,曾奉命在承德为视察某集团军的军委主席邓小平一行服务五天;又于1984年为胡耀邦总书记视察北线工作,在专列火车上服务5昼夜,均受到各级领导的好评。 1991年9月,他任原金朗大酒店有限公司董事长时,和全体董事共同决策,一举炒了管理酒店的老外的鱿鱼,在全国引起了强烈反响,从而李占先的名字也铭刻在广大读者心中。
Li Zhanxian was a 40-year-old PLA Army colonel who had won the third class five times and was repeatedly awarded the award.
