广大农村实行生产责任制后,一家一户生产更为迫切地需要新型的小农具,以便提高农业生产效率。我县杨庙公社的张金岗、吴晚成同志根据这一情况,于1982年研制成功了施肥套播两用器。该机综合了耧、耠子、大锄等三种农具的优点,适合个体农民购买使用,经麦田追施尿素和麦田套播玉米两项试验,获得了显著效果,现已在本县内广为使用。
