In recent years, with the deepening of the new curriculum concept, the overall level of senior high school English teaching has been improved, but the teaching of spoken English is still not particularly satisfactory. Improving the teaching of spoken English is an important goal of English teaching workers. First, the status quo of high school oral English teaching Language is the main carrier of a national culture, is the daily way people use to communicate. Therefore, cultivating middle school students’ ability to speak English is also very important. Through the investigation, the author found that there are four main problems in Oral English teaching at this stage: First, because teachers are confined by the traditional teaching thoughts and the influence of college entrance examination English, teachers pay more attention to grammar items and explanations of English vocabulary in teaching.
