The traditional wisdom is that Lentinus edodes Benk Sing mycelia do not grow on cedar wood. Our research revealed that Cunninghamia lanceolata wood can be directly used for the cultivation of mushrooms, and the production of mushrooms is closely related to the content of essential oil in the wood block. The results are as follows: (1) Fir trees with ages of 7 to 12 were the best to produce mushrooms; (2) the top of the tree (near the crown) got higher yield; (3) Production, before inoculation, the section of wood shelved in the forest for 80 days or soaked in water for 3 days; (4) mycelium inoculation ideal drilling distance is 3 ~ 6cm; (5) after inoculation of mushroom mycelium, to promote Mycelium growth, the best maturity of 6 months, and in the cultivation period, the optimal tilt angle of the section of the wood bed is less than 45 °; (6) Times, the highest yield is the first 4 ~ 6 harvest received or 9 to November after planting obtained.
