For a long time, insulin is regarded as a signal that many tissue cells of the body take glucose from the blood, generate energy and maintain the body’s existence, which has nothing to do with learning and memory. And that insulin does not act on the brain, because the brain can directly use glucose or through glial conversion for energy. More and more, although there is still some dissenting evidence that does not support this claim, insulin is not only crucial to the brain but also affects many brain functions such as cognitive and memory functions.
