叉车转向机构的作用与功能是改变叉车的行驶方向或保持叉车直线行驶。转向机构性能的好坏直接关系到叉车的行驶安全、作业效率以及驾驶员的劳动强度。 我厂最初生产的1.5t铁路叉车,在检验中发现后轮转弯时跑出的实际轨迹呈椭圆状,而不是圆形。没有满足正确运动规律,不符合叉车设计对转向机构的要求。 叉车设计对转向机构的要求是:叉车转弯时各转向轮无滑动地滚动。从叉车转弯的实际轨迹可知,叉车转弯时各转向轮没有绕一定点作转动,即轮胎不是纯滚动,而在滚动过程中有滑动。因此,实际转弯时轮胎跑出的轨迹就成了椭圆形。
