城市规划领域甚宽,因素复杂,具有多专业、多学科性,它实际上是一个大的社会系统工程的“地域组合”.城市的艺术形象及空间布局问题,历来多是建筑师的事,但现代的城市规划工作,已为城市规划专业工作者所取代。建筑师的“创作”逐渐被限制在划定的方块内,“规划”似已与“建筑”解体。目前我国城市规划的编制程序大体上分为总体规划和详细规划两段,有的在“两段”之间插入了分区规划。按照这一程序和方法编制的规划往往与实际发展间存在着很大差距,许多城市建筑群缺乏完整统一的艺术面貌。如北京的西长安街上的民族
