Women’s Symphony Orchestra was formally established in July 1995. The orchestra’s members come from more than 40 performing groups and institutions, in addition to Beijing, there are Chengdu, Shijiazhuang, Tianjin, Shanghai and Taiwan musicians. The “Philharmonic” Symphony Orchestra will showcase the richness of women in the field of symphonic music and add glory to China’s serious music. On the 30th of August, they were unveiled at the opening of the NGO Forum of the World Conference on Women. On September 9 and 10, they held two concerts at the Beijing Concert Hall. At the concert, more than 100 people, “Philharmonic” symphony orchestra played a few Chinese composers
