Is anyone looking forward to the next generation of bus technology - CardBus? In fact, interest in the technology is fading away: the speed at which notebook providers are slowing down the incorporation of this technology into their products; and users Satisfied with the current connection technology; and the operating system that can support CardBus is only just beginning to be introduced. The 32-bit CardBus design offers faster data transfer capability and lower operating voltage requirements than the current PC Card interface, an important feature of today’s notebook designs. But all this is far from the actual design. A company that is making CardBus adapters said that CardBus adoption was much slower than originally expected. And notebook suppliers have also postponed the adoption of this technology. The migration from 10Mbps Ethernet to 100Mbps Fast Ethernet will be one that motivates people to adopt CardBus
