由青年学者马建设著,著名工艺美术史论家田自秉先生作序的《青藏民族工艺美术》一书,已于近日由青海人民出版社出版。全书分三大编十章,较系统地论述了青藏地区民族工艺美术发展的历史,并按历史时期详细叙述了金工、雕塑、织绣、服饰、陶瓷、皮革等各类工艺美术的发展和艺术特色,融民族、宗教、工艺、生活为一体,阐述它们的内在联系和相互影响,对于弘扬我国传统工艺,发掘民族工艺美术,做出了巨大贡献。作者长期在青藏地区从事工艺美术工作,历时九年对青藏地区的民族工艺美术进行调查收集、整理与研究,终于完成此书。正如田自秉先生在序中所评说:“本书的编著,不只是介绍这一地区民族工艺美术,也对发展我国工艺文化产生积极的影响。本书资料翔实丰富,条理清晰,文字简约,图文并茂,具有一定学术价值。既可作为工艺美术专业读物和参考书,也适用于工艺美术院校和民族院校的教材。它在工艺美术领域,填补了学术空白”。
