军用网络需要提供不间断的连通性和足够的容量,从而确保传输各种各样的数据流——从持续时间很短的任务关键消息到持续的视频监视流。然而,军用网络常工作在恶劣环境中,且带宽/容量有限。但是,对军用网络而言,哪怕容量起伏再大,也必须确保持续提供关键应用业务的能力。所有这些都要求在配置网络时,网络规划与设计者必须意识到网络容量评估技术的重要作用。然而,无线网络容量估计本身就是一个极具挑战性的难题,而且,由于军用网络具备异构性、复杂分层结构等特性,加之基础网络存在不可预知的改变(由自然环境和/或恶意干扰引起),使得军用网络容量估计问题变得极为困难。文章提出了一种估计军用移动ad hoc网络容量的系统化方法,同时也提出了用容量估计技术协助解决军用网络子网波形分配问题的方法。

However, military networks often work in harsh environments with limited bandwidth / capacity. However, the estimation of wireless network capacity itself is a very challenging problem. Moreover, due to the characteristics of military networks such as heterogeneity and complex hierarchical structure, combined with unpredictable changes in the basic network (caused by the natural environment and / or malicious interference Caused), making the military network capacity estimation becomes extremely difficult. In this paper, a systematic approach to estimate the capacity of military mobile ad hoc networks is proposed. At the same time, a method of using capacity estimation to help solve the problem of subnet distribution in military networks is proposed.
