The United States is an early country that conducts hospital assessments. It has relatively systematic theory and experience, and its review model has a greater impact on other countries. To help everyone understand the situation, it is based on the relevant contents of the 1989 publication of the United States Joint Evaluation Committee on Health Care Organizations. The history, origin, review process, and standard setting of the American hospital review are introduced. The American Hospital Review was conducted by The Joint Commission on Accreditation of Hospitals, which has now been renamed the Joint Commission on Accredition of Healthcare Organiza- tions.
