中学物理教学大纲指出:教师在教学中“要重视科学态度和科学方法的教育”;“应该通过概念的形成,规律的得出,模型的建立,知识的应用……培养学生的分析、概括、抽象、推理、想象等思维能力”。必修课本在绪论中也要求学生“除了学习物理知识之外,还要注意学习物理学中研究问题的方法”。
