Hydrochloric acid treatment significantly improved the initial electrochemical hydrogen evolution and desorption characteristics of the atomized MlNi36Co07Mn03Al04 alloy. Electrochemical impedance of the hydride electrode was analyzed by complex non-linear fitting program. XPS and AES analysis showed that the hydrochloric acid-treated alloy The surface has a nickel-rich layer with a high electrocatalytic activity, which is the main reason for the improved electrochemical performance of the atomized alloy.
