山西省应县老年大学成立于2001年,目前共有正式学员146名,编外学员300多名。学校在创办中,努力为老年学员营造一个高层次的文化教育空间,成为众多离退休职工“终身教育”的课堂、“二次创业”的基地、“焕发青春”的乐园,树起了一道传播先进科学文化、倡导文明社会风尚、推动经济社会发展的亮丽风景,先后受到了国家体育总局及省、市有关部门的表彰。在办学中,该校主要做了五方面的工作。
