1978年Valvassori和Clemis首次命名了大前庭水管综合征(large vestibular aqueduct syndrome,LVAS),以后又称前庭水管扩大综合征.其发生率是其他骨性内耳畸形的4倍,为1.0%～1.3

1978年Valvassori和Clemis首次命名了大前庭水管综合征(large vestibular aqueduct syndrome,LVAS),以后又称前庭水管扩大综合征.其发生率是其他骨性内耳畸形的4倍,为1.0%～1.3%,甚至高达7%.双侧发病率是单侧的两倍,女性与男性之比为3:2.40%为单纯LVAS ,60%伴有其他内耳畸形,如前庭扩大畸形、Mondini畸形、Mondini-Alexander畸形等.临床表现:听力障碍可以在出生时即有,也可开始于儿童期.典型表现为儿童在轻微头外伤、感冒、剧烈运动(如举重)、气压突然改变(如跳水)或长时间阳光下暴晒后突然听力下降,表现为感音神经性聋.
