Reading is the main means of acquiring knowledge. How to improve the quality and efficiency of reading teaching in Chinese teaching and how to cultivate students’ ability and level of independent reading have always been an important issue in the study of Chinese education. At present, the study of reading classroom structure and the construction of a scientific and efficient reading teaching mode have aroused more and more attention of Chinese educators. With the rise of metacognitive psychology, metacognition theory provides a new idea for improving reading teaching methods and improving reading teaching efficiency.
