Objective To investigate the value of γ-interferon, CA125 (tumor associated antigen) and adenosine deaminase in the diagnosis and treatment of tuberculous peritonitis. Methods Forty patients with tuberculous peritonitis and 64 patients with cancerous ascites collected in our hospital were retrospectively selected. The patients were divided into groups according to the disease, and the levels of interferon-γ, CA125 and adenosine deaminase in both groups were detected. Record test results and statistical processing. Results The levels of IFN-γ and adenosine deaminase in tuberculous peritonitis group were significantly higher than those in cancerous ascites group (P <0.05), but there was no significant difference between CA125 and CA125 (P> 0.05). At the same time, there was no significant difference between the two groups in CA125 before treatment (P> 0.05), while the tuberculous peritonitis group was significantly lower than that in CA125 after treatment (P < 0.05). Conclusions γ-interferon and adenosine deaminase have significant diagnostic value in tuberculous peritonitis and cancerous ascites, while CA125 can be used as a specific marker in the diagnosis of tuberculous peritonitis.
