张庚(1911—2003)是我国当代著名的戏剧理论家、戏剧教育家、戏剧史家。1932年参加中国左翼戏剧家联盟,1938年担任延安鲁迅艺术学院戏剧系主任、鲁艺工作团团长等职,1942年率队到农村开展秧歌运动,参与《白毛女》等新歌剧的创作。新中国成立后,他历任中央戏剧学院、中国戏曲研究院副院长、中国戏曲学院院长、《戏剧报》主编、中国艺术研究院副院长、中国戏剧家协会副主席、
Zhang Geng (1911-2003) is a famous contemporary theater theorist, drama educator and drama historian in China. In 1932, he participated in the China Left-wing Dramatists Union and in 1938 was director of drama department of Lu Xun Art Institute in Yan’an and head of Luyi Corps. In 1942, he led a team to carry out the yangko dance in rural areas and participated in the creation of new operas such as “White-Haired Girl” .
