这篇文章是我在80年代后期为夏威夷一群中国内地留学生集体翻译的哈耶克著《通向奴役之路》作的中译本序,因当时国内出版社方面的原因,这个译本始终没有发表。现在哈耶克的这本书终于有了中译本(中国社会科学出版社1997年版)。这使我想到当年我写的那个中译本“序”,找出来读了几遍,觉得很不过时,似乎大可以放在目前这个中译本前面当做“序二”。这样想过了之后,胆子大一些,将原文再翻出来,尽管最后那一段现在读来显得多余。
This article is a Chinese translation of Hayek’s “The Road to Serfdom”, which I collectively translated into a group of Chinese students in mainland Hawaii in the late 1980s. The translation was never published because of the domestic press at that time. Now Hayek’s book finally has a Chinese translation (China Social Sciences Press, 1997 edition). This reminds me of the Chinese version of “Preface” I wrote in that year. I found it several times and found it quite outdated. It seems that I should be in front of the current Chinese translation version as “Preface II.” After thinking about it, the courage is larger and the original text will be doubled again, though the last paragraph now appears redundant.
