Based on changes in the amount of vitamin C in blood and urine in 1962 and 1963, the author reported that athletes need more vitamin C than college students, but there is still controversy over whether and how much vitamin C needs to be supplied. After long-distance running and marathon running, the reduction of blood vitamin C content has been recorded. Does short-term exercise also cause changes in the amount of vitamin C in the blood? Does the decrease of vitamin C in blood also have a decrease in tissue vitamin C? The above two issues were clarified, and the experimental basis for the athlete’s vitamin C requirement was further provided and the experiment was conducted.
