In order to carry out the spirit of the National Conference on Safety in Production held by the State Planning Commission in February 1975, the Metallurgical Department held a national metallurgical safety production conference at the Xihuashan Tungsten Mine in Jiangxi Province from April 21 to April 27, 1975. There were 318 delegates attending the meeting on behalf of the metallurgical front in 29 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions, the State Planning Commission Labor Bureau, and the special representatives of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army Corps of Engineers. The conference seriously studied Chairman Mao’s great leader’s important instructions on the theoretical issues and conveyed the opinions of the National Security Production Conference
