冯其庸先生在《论庚辰本》的序言开头,就介绍了《脂砚斋重评石头记》(庚辰本),原为徐星曙所藏。徐星曙名祯祥,是光绪时副都御史徐甫之子。这个极其重要的《石头记》抄本,究竟如何到达徐星曙手里,以及又如何归燕京大学,解放后归北京大学图书馆的,知者不多。冯先生在该书重印后记里,有一段较详细的记录: 去年夏天,(1979年)我承齐儆同志转告,农科院的陈善铭教授和他的夫人,熟知庚辰本的来历。这一消息,对我来说简直是“石破天惊”。于是我们约定了一个时间,一起去访问了陈善铭教授。原来陈老的夫人是原藏庚辰本的徐星曙先生的女儿,陈老是植物保护学方面的专家,而对于文物书画又极精于鉴赏,陈老和他的夫人为人热情诚垦,承他们招待了我们。
Mr. Feng Qiyong at the beginning of the Preamble on Geng Chen Ben, introduced “Zhi Yan Zhai remembered the stone mind” (Geng Chen Ben), originally hidden by Xu Xing Shu. Xu Xiang Shizhen name Xiang, Xu Guangxu when the deputy censor Xu Fu’s son. This extremely important “stone” transcript, how to reach the hands of Xu Xing Shu, and how to return to Yenching University, Peking University Library after liberation, few people know. In the reprint note of the book, Mr. Feng has a more detailed record: Last summer (1979), I told Mr. Qi and my friend that Professor Chen Shanming and his wife from Academy of Agricultural Science knew the origins of Gengchen. This news is simply “astonishing” to me. So we agreed for a time, went to visit Professor Chen Shanming together. Chen Lao’s wife was the daughter of Mr. Xu Xinghu, who was originally from Gengchen. Chen was always an expert in plant protection, and was very good at appreciating paintings and calligraphy. Chen Lao and his wife, Entertain us.
