Laser multi-step resonance ionization technique has been developed in atomic and molecular field since 1970s. Theoretical and experimental investigations have demonstrated that there is great disparity in multi-step resonance ionization cross section between different resonance photo-ionization paths. So it is no doubt that measuring photo-ionization cross section corresponding to photo-ionization path is beneficial to the applications of laser ion source and ultra-low contents of elements analysis.
