临海市巾山实验小学创办于2002年,学校充分发挥传统特色项目——书画、舞蹈等的优势,加大国际跳棋、校园足球、健美操等社团建设力度,取得了显著成绩。学校相继获得了全国雏鹰红旗大队、全国写字教学先进集体、全国读书活动优秀组织奖、浙江省首批艺术特色学校、浙江省书法实验基地学校等集体荣誉。
