郴桂一号是湖南省桂阳县烤烟研究所,于1975年用 G-28和红花大金元杂交,经8年选育而成。具有比红花大金元抗病,比 G-28耐寒的突出优点,于1984年2月正式通过鉴定。特征特性:株式简形,株高85-106厘米,茎围8厘米,节距3.5厘米,叶数20-25片,腰叶长55厘米,宽30厘米,叶形宽椭圆,叶尖急尖,叶色深绿,叶面较平,叶片较厚,主脉较粗,花冠淡红色,蒴果较一般品种少。大田生育期110天左右,较耐肥,生长势
