1994年以来,国内的部分专家、学者就吉林扶余岱吉屯墓出土的“至正年制”款五彩瓷碗及景德镇珠山出土的八思巴字款青花海水云龙纹盘、碗在《文物》上发表了一系列文章,对这两类瓷器的烧造年代展开了热烈讨论。归纳起来主要有两种意见:一种意见认为这两类瓷器是元末官窑烧制的青花、五彩瓷的标准器;另一种意见认为“至正年制”款五彩瓷碗是明代中晚期(正德至嘉靖)仿写元代年款的产品,而八思巴字款青花海水云龙纹盘、碗是明代正德年间景德镇官窑制品。
