我部是消耗钢铁较多的单位,预计1984年全年消耗钢材230万吨。我部也是产生废钢铁较多的单位,近年来随着全国四化建设步伐的加快,大量耗能高、效率差的设备已开始成批报废,今年废钢铁回收量已从76年的42万吨上升到84年的80万吨。我部也是利用废钢铁较多的单位,由于新造机车、车辆任务大幅度地增加,所需各种配件的铸钢铸造任务也大幅度增
