A method based on quantitative and sustainable product design and evaluation is proposed.The method uses the multi-criteria of product design to meet the design requirements of qualitative and quantitative sustainable products.The established quantitative method of sustainable product integrates the concept of quality function expansion Life cycle assessment method that considers both customer needs and sustainability requirements and transforms these requirements into design details through axiomatic design mapping and benchmarking methods.The proposed method is applied in wheelchair design with a design basis of 4 The wheelchairs are commonly used and rated according to customer needs and sustainability requirements. The design matrix is used to determine the relationship between wheelchair functional requirements and design parameters. Designed wheelchairs reduce the cost by 13.8% over the best benchmarks, Footprint 18.55%, mass 4.5%, and component count 2.2%.
