智夺鬼子枪抗日战争时期,在党的领导下,新四军七师和含支队在白渡区成立了游击队(武工队),与乡民兵中队紧密配合,灵活机智地打击日伪军。游击队和乡民兵中队刚建立时,武器很少,靠大刀长矛与日伪军作战。为了尽快武装自己,大家把目光瞄准了敌人。1939年夏的一天,区游击队队长郭正道和游击队员们在新生乡某村开会,一位老乡急匆匆跑来:
