In mid-August, Liaoning suffered the biggest flood disaster in 10 years. 11 main highways and 44 county-level highways in the province were destroyed. Traffic was cut off in 13 townships, of which the worst was the Fushun, Tieling and Benxi areas. When floods come, road maintenance workers risked their lives and worked hard at the front line of flood fighting and rescue work.
