据《法制日报》报道:1993年12月17日,湖北省郧县谭山乡农民杜士清一家7人,因食用从个体商贩购买的劣质盐,导致5人死亡,2人住院抢救的亚硝酸盐中毒事故。报载:估计目前仍有300余吨分散在该县部份乡镇,还将会严重危害人民身体健康。这类事故在农村水利、建筑工地屡有发生,特请各有关领导应引起重视,并做好宣传教育工作。
