表达Fas的细胞与Fas配体(FasL)相互作用,可导致细胞凋亡,已知CTL和NK细胞表达FasL,而非淋巴系FasL的表达仅限于免疫优势部位(如眼睛)的细胞。但现有证据表明肿瘤细胞亦可表达FasL,并被认为是肿瘤细胞逃逸免疫攻击的重要机制之一。从多种人类黑色素瘤细胞株的溶胞产物中发现了大量FasL,这些FasL的表达并非体外培养的结果,因为在转移的黑色素瘤病灶切片的肿瘤细胞上也发现了FasL,淋巴瘤病人血清中可溶性FasL水平升高,其它肿瘤细胞如胶质瘤和肺癌的肿瘤细胞均发现有FasL表达,但不伴随Fas表达。
The Fas-expressing cells interact with the Fas ligand (FasL) and cause apoptosis. CTL and NK cells are known to express FasL. The expression of non-lymphoid FasL is restricted to cells at immunodominant sites such as the eye. However, the existing evidence indicates that tumor cells can also express FasL and is considered to be one of the important mechanisms by which tumor cells escape immune attack. A large number of FasLs have been found in lysates from a variety of human melanoma cell lines. The expression of these FasLs is not a result of in vitro culture because FasL is also found on tumor cells sectioned from metastatic melanoma lesions, and in the serum of lymphoma patients. The level of soluble FasL was increased, and tumor cells of other tumor cells such as glioma and lung cancer were found to have FasL expression but not Fas expression.
