In the past four decades, the economy of the Federal Republic of Germany has basically maintained a steady and balanced growth. What they can do is very important because they have long been pursuing a strategy of moderate growth of the national economy. They think that the stable growth of the national economy should mainly be reflected in: moderate growth, stable currency value, full employment and the balance of payments. Federal Republic of Germany’s economic development can be divided into two stages. The first phase from 1950 to 1973, higher speed, efficiency is better, several macroeconomic indicators have reached a more satisfactory level. The annual growth of gross national product is 6%; the price rises 2.7%; the unemployment rate is below 3.5%; the balance of payments has always been a surplus increase. The second stage, since the first oil crisis in 1973, was a slow growth but the economic benefits were still relatively high. More prominent is the unemployment rate of up to 9%, the growth rate is low, only 2%. The annual average price inflation rate is 3.7%, the lowest among industrialized countries. Import and export trade has maintained a surplus.
