“头泉组”系1960年王曰伦所命名。标准地点是在石家庄以西的获鹿县头泉车站,其地质时代划为古生代始寒武统。1963年王曰伦又将“头泉组”与国内外有关地区进行了对比,进一步阐述了它归属古生代而且是在震旦系以上;下寒武统之下的过渡岩组,同时肯定了该岩组在地质构造上的意义。王曰伦的论文发表后引起了许多地质工作者的注意。笔者与河北区测队的同志们,自1960年以来,在包括“头泉组”标准地点的
