I. INTRODUCTION Costa Rica is located in the Central American isthmus, east of the Caribbean Sea, west of the North Pacific, bordering Nicaragua to the north, southeastern South and Panama adjacent. The country’s total area of 51,100 square kilometers, of which 50,660 square kilometers of territory, the coastline of 1290 km, population 4667000. According to the World Bank, per capita GDP in 2012 amounted to 9396 U.S. dollars. According to official sources, there are 238 species of mammals, 2,000 species of trees, 2400 species of butterflies and 857 species of birds in Costa Rica.
