1997年7月1日这一庄严时刻,我国政府恢复对香港行使主权,一支被誉为“文明之师,威武之师”的部队进驻香港。随驻港部队踏上“东方明珠”这片土地的还有那熠熠闪光的新式武器装备——国产新5.8mm枪族。这一完全由我国自行研制生产的小口径枪族,其性能达到发达国家同类现行装备的水平。当亿万国人乃至世界各国对我国这一先进枪族投以极大关注之时,我们不能不想起那些为5.8枪族的诞生倾注心血的兵工战线上的广大科技工作者。今天我刊特把这一枪族的主要设计人员介绍给广大读者,让我们对他们所做的贡献表示深深地敬意,并祝愿他们今后为我国兵工事业再创辉煌！
At this solemn moment of July 1, 1997, my government resumed its exercise of sovereignty over Hong Kong and a force known as “a division of civilized force and mighty force” was stationed in Hong Kong. As the Garrison embarked on the “Pearl of the Orient,” this land there is that shiny new weapons and equipment - made a new 5.8mm gun family. This fully developed and produced by our own small-caliber gun family, its performance reached the level of similar equipment in developed countries. When hundreds of millions of people and even countries in the world devote great attention to this advanced gun family of our country, we can not fail to recall the vast numbers of scientists and technicians who have devoted painstaking efforts to the birth of the 5.8 gun family. Today, I specifically introduce the main designers of this gun family to our readers. Let us express our deep respect for their contributions and wish them every success in the future armaments work in our country.
