本文以《红楼梦》第三回为例,着重从词语运用层面分析霍克斯与杨戴夫妇的两个译本,本文第一部分简要介绍了《红楼梦》的文学地位与两译本的情况,第二部分为译本对比研究,主要从词的层面细致地剖析了霍译与杨戴译文,分析从以下四方面入手:人名的翻译、称谓的翻译、动词的翻译、部分文化名词的翻译,通过对于两译本的对比分析,探讨得出各自译本中值得商榷的地方,本文的第三部分为结语,通过分析比较两个译本各自运用的翻译策略,得出了古典文学作品翻译中的几点注意事项,从而为后来的翻译工作者提供借鉴。
Taking the third case of “Dream of Red Mansions” as an example, this paper analyzes two versions of Hawkes and Young Dai’s couple from the aspect of the use of words. The first part of this article gives a brief introduction to the literary status and the two versions of the second chapter As a comparative study of translations, this thesis mainly analyzes the translations of Huo Yi and Yang Dai from the level of words. The analysis starts from the following four aspects: the translation of names, the translation of names, the translation of verbs, the translation of some cultural terms, The third part of the thesis concludes with a conclusion. Through analyzing and comparing the translation strategies used by the two translations, the paper draws some notes in the translation of classical literary works. For later translation workers to provide reference.
