《特区经济》杂志创刊八周年了。这是一份办得比较有水平、办得成功的杂志。我对这份刊物有个希望,就是希望她今后办得更有特色:主旨更突出,视野更宽广,思路更深刻。这不仅是读者对刊物的希望,而且是杂志自身生存发展的需要。现在全国仅是公开发行的杂志就有六七千种,其中经济类刊物不在少数。如果是低水平重复的话,许多读者既无看的时间,亦无看的必要。杂志虽然多,可是《特区经济》仅有一份,可谓凤毛麟角。深圳经济特区本身就具有很大特殊性。特区建设的早期,邓小平同志曾将之比喻为“陕甘宁边区”,并鼓励特区要在与旧体制的斗争中“杀出一条血路”。特区之“特”,使得《特区经济》杂志理应特点突出,不同凡响。现在随着整个国家改革开放的深化和发展,内地许多地区也在迅速发展,直追特区。特区怎样更上台阶,特区的理论研究、舆论宣传怎样继续领先和超前,是需要下一番功夫的。

I have a hope for this publication, that I hope she can do even more in the future: a more prominent subject, a broader field of vision and a deeper thinking. This is not only the reader’s hope for the publication, but also the magazine’s own survival and development needs. There are now six or seven thousand kinds of magazines in the country that are only publicly traded, among them there are not many economic magazines. If it is a low level of repetition, many readers have neither the time nor the need to read. Although many magazines, but “the SAR economy” only one, can be described as rare. Shenzhen Special Economic Zone itself has great specificity. In the early days of the SAR construction, Comrade Deng Xiaoping once compared it to “the Shensi-Kansu-Ningsia Border Region” and encouraged the SAR to “bring out a thoroughfare” in the struggle against the old system. Special Zone “special”, making “Special Zone Economy” magazine outstanding features outstanding, extraordinary. Now with the deepening and development of the entire country’s reform and opening up, many areas in the Mainland are also rapidly developing and pursuing the SAR. How the SAR should go up to the next level, how to study the theory of the SAR, and how to continue to lead and advance media outreach will require a bit of effort.
