四项基本原则是立国之本,也是加强学校思想政治教育工作的重要内容之一。对中学生进行四项基本原则的教育,应采取各种生动、实际、活泼的教育形式,并渗透到各科教学中去,真正做到既教书又育人。在这方面,中学历史课是一个非常重要的阵地,具有特殊的优势和显著的教育功能。“欲知大道,必先知史”。一部中国近现代史,就是向学生进行四项基本原则教育的最好的教材。通过这门课的教学,要使学生认识:四项基本原则是中国人民长期革命斗争的历史经验的总结,反映了中国历史发展不依人们意志为转移的客观规律。
