面对教育理念的更新、新课程的改革、教学技术的推广、教学方法的改进,农村中小学英语教师的培训显得更加重要。这些年来虽然农村中学英语教师的学历层次有了一定程度的改善和提高,可是这些学历中有许多是非师范类的,有的最后学历是从其它学科的学历转变而来的,缺乏知识的衔接和系统性,其含金量远远不够。因此,我们有必要研究农村中小学英语教师培训中存在的问题及对策。
