With the development of society and education, the domestic and foreign educational circles are increasingly clamoring for “people-oriented”. At the turn of the century, China put forward a new reform of the basic education curriculum for the sake of the renaissance of the Chinese nation and the development of each student. In the implementation of the new curriculum reform, teachers are required to establish a “people-oriented” student perspective, starting with students and focusing on the development of students. Looking back at ancient and modern educators, did they ignore the “people-oriented” thinking in their education? This is not the case. Despite the influence of the politics of the times, many educators in ancient times demonstrated the educational concept of “people-oriented”. Zhu Xi was one of them. In this paper, the author attempts to stand on the forefront of contemporary education to excavate the human spirit of Zhu Xi’s Chinese education, in order to draw people’s reference.
