《让子弹飞》是中国电影百年的第一奇片。奇在电影本身的不中不西、哭笑不分、似喜还悲、真假参半、像打一套醉拳,七分胡闹,三分要命。民国时代的电影人,许多是依然怀抱儒家传统的知识分子,忠诚善良有余,但对人性缺乏洞见,艺术修养不出中国传统戏剧,忠奸分明,黑白对立,一则由于传统文化之局限,一则出于政治形势、战争危机的胁迫,从来缺乏充沛坚实的创作基础,而绝无可能像好莱坞那样蓬勃兴盛。
“Let the Bullets Fly” is the first odd film of a hundred-year Chinese movie. Odd in the movie itself is not in the West, dumbfounding, like sad, true and false, like playing a drunken punch, seven nonsense, one-third of life. Many of the filmmakers in the Republic of China era are intellectuals who are still embracing the Confucian tradition. They are loyal and kind-hearted, but lack of insight into human nature. They can not cultivate traditional Chinese drama in the fields of artistic cultivation. They are distinguished from each other in black and white, and from the limitations of traditional culture, Out of the political situation and the coercion of the crisis of war, the foundation of abundant and solid creativity has never been provided and it is absolutely impossible to flourish like Hollywood.
